So I was going to write about my Deadmau5 experience, but well, I just kind of got lazy, then it was too long ago, then I found Ryan’s recap which is dead on. Check it out. Also, Chinese food is 100x better at 3:30, PBR is never good, and this track is definitely Deadmau5’s best to date.

Up next is BT in D.C. on December 20. Let me know if you want to come.

deadmau5 - Ghosts n Stuff

last night was interesting for sure.  we made it to the show just in time for deadmau5 at midnight.  the place was packed — certainly the most people i’ve ever seen at the factory.   he started out with today’s S!dJ and it rocked.  similar to his set at virgin fest, the beginning and end were real strong.   in the middle, he degrades down to what basically amounts to minimal techno, as if he wasn’t allowed to play any frequencies over 500Hz.  nevertheless, the beginning and end are so good that it brings the average up for the rest of the set.

we hit the afterparty which was kinda ridiculous cause it was basically a house party, cause it was just in some random house on springgarden, you paid 5 bucks, and you got unlimited PBR (<- a cliche philly house party if i ever saw one…..right down to the pbr).  but, it was legit cause they had a guest list and a bouncer and a dj spinnin’ deep house, which was awesome.  deep house is the perfect think to chill out to, but you can still dance if you want.  we closed that night at a noodle house in chinatown and i got home just in time to wish my waking roommates luck at their pony competition!  good times.

anywho, this track is my favorite by him.  it hits harder (and is a little more dirty) than most of his stuff and the progression rocks hard.
