It took me a while to post this, but I just wanted to say how proud I am of my younger brother, Brandon.
Last week, I followed him for 96 holes of golf in the 108th US Amateur at Pinehurst, No. 2 in NC. He and 63 other of the best players in the world made the cut.
Brandon made it to the third match where he came from behind on the last two holes to tie up the match. The playoff lasted five holes, and on several holes he nearly did it. Amazingly, his opponent sunk a 20 footer for birdie on the fourth hole to keep it tied.
He may not have won the tournament, but it was amazing to watch him out there, to see his resolve and desire combined with his amazing talent. (By the way, he is one of the longest drivers out there.)
Thanks Brandon for the amazing show, and good luck this season with NC State.
