My inbox makes me so angry. Its existence infuriates me. It is the most intimate part of my life that I have no control over. It is always a mess and always needs attention.
I cannot abruptly stop using email because there is no single alternative for all the functions it performs
I believe any invention which reduces the role of the inbox will make me happier. I would gladly pay for this sort of thing
I completely agree with him on this one. When and if I can someday afford it, I will have two email inboxes. One that only 20 or so of my closest friends have, and one that I have a secretary/assistant check and forward as necessary. Normally, I’d rather have people call me. Even today, I tell people to call me if they really want it quickly. Even IM is better.
Email was great for me until I started to do so many things that keeping an inbox clean would take hours every day. I’m stilling trying to be better about it, but it only seems to get worse. GTD has so good recommendations, but it is hard to really follow those guidelines every day.
So, if you want/need me, please call/IM.
